You want to live the way you want!

Perhaps you have a nagging feeling that something isn't quite right with your life or there is a siren going off trying to tell you that something needs to change! Fear of failure or what others might think often stops us from pursuing our hopes and dreams.

Listen to the stories of others who are 'kicking it' in a small way or a big way - it doesn't matter which - as long as they are moving themselves in the direction that feels right to them. This podcast will showcase stories of real people that will inspire you to live the life YOU want and follow your own HEART!

If you said “yes” to any of the above, then you’re in the right place!

Every person has a unique story

Hello! I am so excited to bring you the Everyday Brilliance Podcast, where I interview everyday people who are shining brightly and inspiring others to embrace all of their true potential. What we would consider to be a regular, everyday person, can really surprise us with their courage, inspiration, creativity, and dedication.

I meet so many wonderful people during my travels that I want to share the people who have touched my heart, inspired me, and sparked my curiosity. Contrary to what we might expect from main stream media and news, there are many everyday people who are living outside the box and showing the way for others to embrace their own inner brilliance and bring their dreams into existence.

About Kim and the Mission of this Podcast

Open the Mind - Change Perception - Release the Spirit - Free Humanity

My life

After retiring in 2022, I travel full time in a 'classic' RV. That's a gentle way of saying it's an oldie but a goodie. It is 40 foot long, which is kinda long to manuever in traffic, back up, or take sharp turns. To make things even more interesting, I pull my jeep behind it. I have been exploring the southwest part of the United States, traveling through southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. These are some gorgeous states! The people I've met have been wonderful and life changing for me.

I have learned so much and had great experiences, as well as overcome many challenges. It has been fun and it has been hard at times - but it was my dream and my dream is coming true! Now I want to share some of my journey with you.

Education/Professional

Before becoming a podcaster in 2023, I worked as a licensed engineer and project manager for highway projects in Texas. I earned my license as a professional engineer in 2001 to practice civil engineering. My career has been mostly involved with project management for highway construction, but did include some time in design and maintenance. It has been exciting and challenging!

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering and a Master's of Engineering in Construction Project Management from the Civil Engineering Department. Both degrees are from Texas A&M in College Station - Gig 'em Aggies!

Podcast Mission

I am convinced that the glass is half full or more instead of being half empty or less. I think we need only to show people a fair percentage of the true positive stories of everyday people for this to become clear. There are so many good people in the world and they are doing great things!

The Mission of this Podcast is to bring you inspiring, mind opening stories and experiences that will assist you in your own journey to bring your own dreams and goals into fruition so others can also benefit from you.

My hobbies

My favorite hobbies are playing and exploring with my dogs (My Pack). I'm also an avid jeeper and four-wheeler. I have learned so much since purchasing my Jeep Rubicon in 2017. When I started, I had to use the manual to figure out how to put it in four-wheel drive. LOL

Now, I am climbing mountains in Colorado on some of the most beautiful, epic trails in the country. I still get stuck and mess up, like that time I got stuck in Imperial Sand Dunes and had to get myself out.

My pack

My pack includes 3 black Labradors: Max, Rebel and Maggie. We travel in a RV and pull a jeep. The jeep allows us to get into more remote areas, backroads, lakes, streams, etc.. where I can let my pups off the leash to play and explore. These pups have taught me so much, but for certain, they have taught me to take time to play and explore our beautiful natural world.

They have also taught me what its like to be loved unconditionally. Dogs are excellent at that.

Featured Guests on the Podcast

Most of my podcast guests will be people that I meet and am drawn to tell their story. If they have inspired me in some way and I think others would be inspired by their story - then I will request to interview them. None of us are perfect - not me - not anyone. I am not seeking perfection in my guests. I want real. I want genuine. I want the everyday person who has overcome obstacles to bring something interesting into the world.

If you think you know someone like this, submit them using this form and maybe we can work out an interview. If it doesn't work out, I am still grateful for your interest and support to help the podcast.
